Swimming In A Dirty Lake What Joy [ Open ]
« Thread Started on Jun 7, 2008, 10:24pm »

Swimming was one of Amethyst's favorite things to do. At least she didn't care where she swam at. Even if it was a dirty old lake where you couldn't see the bottom of it. Who cared what was in it. If you didn't want the heated pool then you could always come to the lake. Like Amethyst did. She wasn't always one to go for the heated pool. It made her feel sick at times and just by thinking about it as well.

Amethyst could have cared less what she was doing. Even though she wasn't in the water excatly. At least not yet. She was lying on the dock with her hair falling into the water as she stared at the passing clouds feeling the warm sun beat down on her light blue suited bikini swimsuit body. Yes the sequins were a must on the suit, but they kept falling off every time she tried washing the thing or swam in it. So there was barely any sequins left on the suit itself. Though she would have cared less about them. She was waring an old suit that still fit her from the year before. So it didn't really bother her if the sequins were falling off.

She ran a hand through her pink streak of her hair as she felt the cold water on her hand as she pulled her hand up. She was enjoying camp already. Too bad she couldn't bring her Ipod. She would have been fine listening to her music. She had all kinds of fun listening to that. She would sometimes freak people out with it since sometimes she would be singing to it and then someone would have thought she was talking to them. She always had a good laugh with that. But at this summer she could pull a few pranks on everyone and see what they did. She was always up to a good laugh. As long as they didn't scare her back. She wasn't always good with being scared herself, but then again maybe it would only be payback.

Rolling to her side, she forgot how close she was to the edge of the dock, she screamed as she fell into the cold water. Rising back above the surface she looked around to see if anyone saw her. She would have gone red if anyone was there watching her from a distance.

Eric was slowly ambling along the trail that led toward the lake. One hand was in the pocket of his khaki shorts, the other holding a corndog that had squirted ketchup and mustard on before leaving the cafeteria. Only about half of it was gone, which was surprising, normally when he had a corndog he ate it in about two seconds. Artificial meat was the best.

Eric stretched his neck before taking another bite. He then pulled his hand out of his pocket and tugged his grey t-shirt away from his chest, it was just too hot. Well, at least the lake was insight now. His hand slipped back into his pocket and he kicked a rock with his flip flop covered feet, turning the corner toward the dock, just in time to hear a slight scream and a splash.

His eyes left the battered hot dog and up toward the end of the dock that was now slightly wet from the water being splashed up. Then his eyes fell on a girl right on the end. She must have been the one to fall off. Not seeing anyone else around, he doubted that she had been pushed. Falling off the dock was just embarrasing, he'd done it before so he knew from experience. So, he decided to play it off as if he hadn't seen or heard anything.

He stepped onto the dock and slowly walked down to the end, his flip flops hitting the dock with a slight clunking sound with each step. Once he was at the end, he tilted his head to the side, before bending down. His hand slipped out of his pocket and he used the tip of his fingers to keep him balanced as he rested on his toes. He then held out his corndog in her general direction "Corndog?" he offered with a small smile.

"No thanks. I'm not a big fan on corndogs." Amethyst said as she looked up at the counslor who offered her the corndog. Did he see him fall in? That would be quite embarrassing if he did. Let's hope he didn't see me. Amethyst thought as she hung onto the dock. The smell of the corndog started to make Amethyst hungry. She had forgotten that she hadn't ate since breakfast and that seemed sometime ago away. My how time flys while your having fun. Or rather falling into the lake. It wasn't like the lake bothered Amethyst she just didn't want to get wet at that moment when she did fall into the water. At least she wasn't injured or bruised. She was quite happy for that. The water did feel very relaxing. Too bad she didn't bring a floaty. Then she could have been in the middle of the lake and then no one could get her unless they swam out and pulled her off the floaty, but she highly doubted anyone would do that to her.

"So. Who are you again?" Amethyst asked turning her attention back to the counslor eating the corndog. Then the thought of the corndog made her want to puke. The last time she had a corndog it was at her 10th birthday party when all her friends were around everyone eating corndogs and hers just had to be frozen and moldy. Her friends had all laughed at her from the look of her face when she had bitten into the corndog. She had stayed in her room for the rest of party not wanting to see her friends' faces again after they laughed at her. Hence the reason why she won't a corndog. Besides she wasn't a fan of dipping a corndog in mustard or ketchup. She would just rather have a hot dog instead.

Eric gave a small shrug at her denile of the corndog. It was her loss. He finished the battered covered hot dog before setting the stick down on the dock. He then sat all the way, pulling his feet underneath him in indian style, placing one hand in his lap while resting the elbow of his other on his knee and resting his head on his hand. His brown gaze lazily traviled over the girl in the water. He'd seen her around. Then again, he'd seen everyone around, if he hadn't he wouldn't of been a very good counselor. Now, remembering just exactly who everyone was was another matter all together. He was horrible with names -- unless he was persueing said person in a sexual manner that was. Or unless he considered them a good enough friend to actually learn and remember their name, in other words place a name to a face. At the moment, he was drawing a blank, but there was still the possibility that they had never even of been formally introduced, meaning he might never of learned her name in the first place.

"Me? I'm EZ, one of the coyote counselors. And you are?" He was curious on who she was now. Then again, you did get curious on who someone was when you saw then fall into a lake, it could always come in handy for gossip purposes later. Not that he was much of a gossiper, but you never know, the information could come to good use at some later point in the future. Place, if he had a name and a face in his mind he might be able to make the match.

Eric studied her a moment longer before lifting his head again and stretching his legs out back from under him. The then untied his shoes and pulled them off, shortly followed by his socks which he rolled up and placed inside his shoes. He then proceeded to roll up the legs of his jeans before letting his feet fall off the edge of the dock and into the water. He resting back onto his hands, eyes searching the clouds for a moment before falling back to the girl. "Think it might rain?" he asked with a lazy smile eyes falling back to the slowly greying sky.
